A Deterministic Finite State Automata, someone had to think of this for regular expression checking to work on the computer, it’s why sed awk grep actually work on Linux systems or any type or regex thing really so Perl also. It’s really useful for a bunch of other stuff too.
So yeah, there’s more to Comp Sci than just programming fyi

Learning Linux - Crunch Time
As cool as Linux is appearing to be, learning how to effectively wield it is something you just cannot pick up through occasional use. It requires a certain amount of devotion and continual practice.
I’m currently enrolled in a Linux class at the College of Lake County and I see at least half the class not fully present. Now admittedly, I haven’t been given my all either, so I in no way believe myself to be superior to any one in knowledge, aptitude or study habits, but seeing how little some in the class are putting in and that they are still getting by grade wise shows me how much more I need to give personally to really take away from this class what I really want.
I’m not there just to “get by”. I want to learn and gain a higher level of competence in operating and managing Linux.
I’m going to be putting in quality time daily studying the hell out of all I have been taught.

The Noob’s Certification Plan
So being a noob with no conceivable way to get my foot in the door for a sys admin job, I’m going full gun blazes for my certifications. I’m going to list out the order I will pursue them.
- A+
- Network+
- Linux+
These three are my focus at the moment. I’m considering mixing in some M$ and Apple tech certs, but these three are the foundation I must lay to achieve my career goals.

I want a blogging platform that automatically connects to my twitter, identi and facebook.
I want a blog that AUTOMATICALLY takes care of SEO.
I want a blog that automatically hyperlinks keywords to their corresponding wikipedia page.
In fact, I want to be able to set up keywords to automatically link to any page I set them to.
I want a tool that can suggest sites, vids, audio, pics that are relevant to my blog post, be that related to the tags, title, content or keywords.

Howdy, Planet!
A quick “hello world” post just to show I am alive on the other side of the screen. This blog will serve as my own personal illuminated RGB doorway into your rooms, past your nose hairs and deep into the depths of that pinkish sponge we graciously call “the brain”.
My plans for this place will center largely around my study of computer programming and system administration. Got a few wild ideas and wacky plans for my first projects an I’m going to share them with the world here!
